A catch-all feature that is activated for a given e-mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. In other words, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any miswritten email address under the exact same domain, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you are running some business, for instance. Since you may start receiving junk email messages, you can use the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters in order to receive only real emails in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

In case you’ve got a Linux cloud hosting with us and you want to activate the catch-all functionality for a certain email mailbox that you have in the account, it will take literally only one click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to achieve this. A catch-all button is available next to each email address that you have created under any domain name registered in your account. You can choose one address per domain name by clicking on the corresponding button. This will activate the feature straight away, so all email messages sent to mistyped email addresses will be delivered there. Clicking the button once more will turn off the catch-all feature. In case you have activated email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary notification and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature until you deactivate the forwarding or you can simply pick another mailbox to be the catch-all one.
